Booking Terms and Cancellation Policy
Weekends are subject to a minimum two night stay.
Bank & Public Holiday Weekends are subject to a minimum three night stay.
Gift vouchers are available if you wish to reserve a room at Dene House on behalf of friends or loved ones. Please telephone for further details.
Reservations – can be made by telephone, e-mail, post or directly online using our computerised online reservation system.
Check-in – normal time is from 4pm until 9pm. Early check-in is possible by prior arrangement.
Check-out – is a leisurely 10:30am on the dat of departure. For late check-out after 12pm, a fees charge 50% of the cost of one night room rates will be applied.
Deposit – valid credit or debit card details are required as security for a reservation. A £50 non-refundable deposit is deducted from your card at the time of booking. The balance amount of your stay is payable on departure. The following cards are accepted: Visa, Mastercard, American Express
Balance of account – is payable on departure by either cash, credit or debit card. Please note we are no longer able to accept cheques as a form of final payment.
Cancellation Policy – a confirmed reservation to stay at Dene House, whether by telephone, e-mail or in writing, constitutes a contract in law. Please note your deposit is not refundable under any circumstances. However, should you need to cancel your stay at Dene House, providing you give seven or more days’ notice, we will offer you a transfer of dates which must be taken within 3 months of the original date of stay (Bank and/or Public Holiday periods and Valentines are exempt)
Should you cancel your reservation with more than 7 days’ notice, you will not be liable to pay the balance. For cancellations with less than 7 days’ notice, or curtailment of stay for any reason, you will still be liable to pay for the booking in full, even if we have not yet received your balance. If we are able to re-let the room before the date of your stay, you will no longer be liable for the balance.
Travel Insurance – We highly recommend you take out holiday/cancellation insurance to cover this cost, as there are no exceptions to the above terms and conditions.
Allocation of Room – we will always do our best to accommodate requests for a specific room, however, due to the needs and/or constraints of the business, Dene House reserves the right to allocate guests an alternative room within the guest house, equal to or better than the one requested, should the need arise.
Non-Availability of Room – we would only cancel your booking if accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Damages and Breakages – please be aware that you are responsible and liable for any breakage or damage you cause to the property, or its contents, during your stay. Please take care and report any such breakage or damage should they occur. We do not normally charge for minor accidental breakages, but we may charge you the full cost to repair or make good any significant breakage or damage caused by misuse, or if you fail to notify us during your stay.
Non-smoking – Please note that for the benefit of all of our guests, all bedrooms are NON smoking. If you smoke in a bedroom during your stay then £100.00 charge will be made to your card.
Liability – please be aware that Dene House does not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
Environmental Statement – we recycle all newspapers/magazines, glass bottles, cans, cardboard and plastics. We request that guests only put their towelling for laundering when absolutely necessary and they switch off all electrical appliances and lighting when not in use.
Please note – Dene House cannot accommodate children under 14 years of age, the maximum room occupancy is for two adults and regrettably no pet friendly room available.
